Im so happy for you! I live in the UK so radio stations hardly ever play anything that isnt in the Top 10 Singles Chart, which sucks! But you guys have been one of my favourite bands since I saw you being played in 'Snakes On A Plane'. But once Viva La Cobra came along you guys became my favourite band. Ive sworn by you since :) You taught me not to take everything so seriously and just to have fun and not care what other people think. Thats why I love you guys soo much. Your not like other bands, you care so much about the music and your fans and not about being rich and famous.
I was at your Portsmouth, UK show when I heard the rumours you were splitting, literally just as you was about to come on. I was so bummed out but I just tried to make the most of the show. And you were amazing :) And you were so down to earth and kind when I met you. I mean seriously some bands are really ignorant but you were so friendly. Never stop what you doing <3 :)

Haha, I remember a few years back a friend of mine had her nose in an AP, (i think it was), about Cobra Starship!...Every two seconds shouting out, "He turned to poker!" and other personality greatness. Basically, I'm saying that, in the last few years, you guys have really blown "up", and deserve every bit of it. Celebrate by coming to Florida some time again soon. haha. =D

I heard Good Girls Go Bad on the XM top 40 last week. I totally geeked out. My aunt who went with me to the vegas show of BND tour was like " is this the band with the guy who had a messed up ankle" she loved you guys and she was totally bummed that she realized she missed your guys performance when you guys on the HCT with Fall Out Boy in 07.

I've never understood people that didn't want Cobras to get big, because you've been working at this for so long (and the others too, but like you said, 10 years deep) that at this point you deserve it so much, and of course you can be happy about that! Anyone who thinks otherwise is an asshole. I love that you guys do small clubs shows, but I'll be just as proud, if not more when you get to the point of headlining huge (arena?) tours.

FINALLY..It's ABOUT TIME!! CONGRATS G.A.B.E. I am sooo happy :) :) I heard GGGB on Z100 over the weekend and I thought I was hearing things!!! I went crazy! I've been trying to get 106.1BLI here on long island to play it, they will, it's just a matter of time til they wake up and smell the cobras (ha ha sooo corny!) or til they get annoyed at all the email requests I've made!
I've heard some CS fans who do not like the idea that you guys have gone "pop" and top 40...but F.U.C.K. them you deserve to keep making your way to the top!

I agree with the majority here.
1) it is a shame it wasn't with midtown, you guys
deserved more credit then you got, forget what you know
is a stable album in my itunes diet.
2) i always hated when bands got tons of fame and then
forget to play the small, intimate venues, or can't etc etc.

That's amazing. On the way back from my friend's prom GGGB came on the radio - on Open House Party - and I probably seemed like the biggest spazz in the world. It like, made the night for me (and mind you I was riding in a limo that the boys apparently paid for). That's so fucking exciting. Very much deserved with how much you guys put into this, and how much you give back, so congrats!

i'm somebody that's been a fan of you for about four or five years now,
i've been listening to midtown and cobra for a while now and i have to
say that you totally deserve the radioplay more than 3/4 of the music
industry does. you put a lot into your music, you really do. and midtown
and cobra are both bands that make me laugh, smile and help bring
me up for completely different lyrics. even though midtown's lyrics are
darker i feel i can relate to them more. i do like the energy and spunk
that you've done with cobra starship. it's fantastic, gabe! all of you are.

Gabe!! ahh i could write a novel about how amazing you are. I remember one day surfing music around myspace and somehow came upon your page. you had polaroids and like 12 friends. I thought you were a crazy creeper guy. I just left the page and was like...whatever. then like a week after, pete posted a link to that same page on an away message and i was like.."no way are you serious!?" then i actually gave the time to see what you were about (haha sorry) and i was amazed. you are so crazy and just do what you feel. I love that about people. Everyone is so fake and just does stuff to please, but you just do what makes you happy. I have been to every show in dallas and it is always the best shows ever. its more of a party than a concert. There was one about a year and a half ago, that was amazing. small room, talking to the crowd a lot. everyone was having so much fun it was amazing. I am so happy for your success and how much the band has grown. the music is always wonderful and whenever i am in a down mood, cobra never fails me. i just want to get up and dance and have a good time. you guys are always so nice whenever we talk after or before shows. all you do is just be yourself, but it makes me happy. i am glad to see that some bands can be real. I just want to thank you for making my life a little bit better. xo

Surprisingly I have never heard you guys on the radio, maybe it was just
the radio stations I listen too, I don't get the good radio stations, so maybe

I think this is the second time you guys broke it, because last week after I got back from SF, I checked iTunes GGGB was #38 and then it went back into the fifties. And today it broke 40 again, and I really hope it's there to stay. Three weeks ago I requested it 13 times and listened to the radio for 3 hours, and finally now they are playing it! congratulations! i have to say, when GGGB first came out and i guessed this was gonna make you big, i was a little pissed about it for stupid personal reasons, but i've been able to shut that out bc i know this is something you guys truly deserve, especially you (and i know you have that whole "no one *deserves* anything" thing, and in most situations i agree with that, but you really do deserve this so much). you're probably one of the most hard-working and NICEST bands in the industry, so it's great to see good things happen to good people.

ps. i have a feeling this success is gonna go international too. i live in australia and i know a few people who've already come across the song and really like it, and if it comes on the radio here, it'll be a hit i swear :)

it was in Brisbane Australia when you were supporting Panic.
and i was in love with cobra from that night on.
ive gotten all im friends into cobra starship and taught them all the guilty pleasure dance,
there is never a car trip without that song, and i must say that since im usually the one driving.. im quite good at doing it one handed.
Pete Wentz is the only reason we are famous is always played as well, even got pulled over by the cops whilst listening to it to loudly. he thought we were yelling out the window, but it was just the music.

Nice! srlsly thats really good for you, you're one of the few bands that put on an amazing live show. If we go to a Cobra's show we're sure to have a great time. So just for this simple reason alone, you deserve this.

Oh and btw, do something about Quebec/Canada.. there's only Britney and JT on radio here.. i don't know if you can do anything about that, but hearing Good girls on the radio would be amazing! We can say all we want of americans, but you have the greatest music scene loll.

I think the problem with the song, is Leighton. I love Cobra, and I love the song. But I am scared that it is going to get publicity just because it has ~Blair in it, and it deserves it because it's a Cobra song. My sister has begun listening to it, she really does like it, but she only started listening at first for Blair.. And I am not going to say it is the only/real reason people are listening and liking, but it could be for some people.
But then again, it could be the break you've needed, being able to extend yourselves and I wouldn't choose a different band to be given such an opportunity, and especially for you cause you love Blair :) it makes me happy that you get to work with her, and I hope you get the recognition you deserve <3

okay so i'm going to elaborate what i said earlier. and i'm jumping the gun a bit and looking forward a bit too far but hey

i have been listening to cobra starship for over two years (i'm not pulling the i've-been-a-cobra-fan-for-ages card!) and your music has got better and better. sure, i kinda miss the sounds of while the city sleeps songs, well not kinda actually, i miss it quite a lot. your music has developed and that's fine by me. i'm up for any tunes you guys produce.
i'm definitely happy for you gabe, and the cobras. you guys are finally getting the recognition you truly deserve. i don't know how big you guys are in america, but in london there weren't hundreds and hundreds of fans when you were here in may; not that this is a criticism. from what i heard from the fans that i met there, the atmosphere was amazing because it was a small place. and it's the small places that are the best shows for bands i personally feel.
even though i didn't have tickets, i met you cobras, sing it loud, cash cash and mimi soya. but what if you end up getting as big as fall out boy? i saw them at a ginormous arena in march. sure it was an amazing show, i loved every single second. but i felt being quite far back and seated which ruined the intensity slightly. the arena went so far back. i bet the fans at the back didn't get an amazing view. there were no meet and greets, except for if you pay to be an overcast kid, and i've heard that you don't get to speak to them long due to the huge amount of other fans. of course, they can't speak to every single fan that was there for half an hour each, that's ridiculous. i would love to be an overcast kid, but to be honest, i wouldn't at the same time. i kind of think that it defeats the purpose of things if you understand what i mean?
i've got another example of things. i don't know how things went down in america, but the second england heard 'shake it' by metro station, things went mental. a phone went off, it was that song. metro station would be dropped into every single conversation. radio stations would play it about 50 times an hour. everyone bought the album and downloaded the songs off of itunes.
cobra starship deserves all of that. and gabe, you've been fighting for years to get to the point where you are now. that's why i feel awful for this selfishness i feel. i don't think i can help it. i've loved the music you've made, i've spread the word amongst my friends and yeah, i don't have many friends, but i've turned them into such huge cobra fans it's unbelievable. with my best friend, every conversation has cobra dropped in somewhere. one of my other friends, we've even made a cobra starship fanpage etc etc.
let me emphasize the point that i know you deserve it, you really do. when i found out, it made me so happy, and i managed to get through my maths exam today without stressing a single bit because that small snippet of news had made me practically bouncing. then i sat and thought about it, my mind went straight to metro station.
gabe, i apologise for the selfishness that is throughout this letter, but i needed to express the niggling thought at the back of my mind.
just one more small gig back in london please before everything kicks off?
whatever happens, it'll never change my thoughts on cobra starship. i'll still love you guys as much as i do now, probably even more.
i'm probably completely jumping the gun here but i just hope that you'll still have time to hang out with your fans mostly. when i met you, i felt like i was on such a high for weeks. i still do. it was less than a month ago that i met you all.
i'm also probably the only one that has expressed this, i can't be bothered to check. i'm sorry if i sound like an absolute dick.
i hope you've understand what i've said, why i feel it.
but the thing is, i would love to be in a band one day, so really I'D want to be as big as fall out boy and make sweet tunes like you guys. and if i ever am in a band and have fans (pah! XD) i'll make sure that i never forget how much a short conversation or a picture or whatever can make a fan's day! just how you all made me feel :)

It had to happen someday! You guys totally deserve it. I would have placed you guys a lot higher than #38, but still! It happened, and thats awesome! I found out about Cobra one day when my friend wore a Cobra shirt to school. I didnt ask about it cause I was busy but after school I went on Myspace and looked you guys up and listened to some songs and I really liked them. Majority of the bands I listen to arent even on the radio.So when I ask someone if they like that band they look at me like "Who the hell is that?" A few months later I got tickets to the April 18th show in Houston,Texas but then it got rained out so I was mad..But there's always next time!



But the first day I found out about Good Girls Go Bad being on the radio, my friend texted me and was like "I Just heard Cobra Starship on the radio!" I like opened my eyes wide and like turned it immediately to that station. I didnt hear you guys for 2 days after that, but then all of the sudden on the third day I heard Good Girls Go Bad and I was happy.

Once again, Great Job! You deserve it!
