This one is going to be long.. So grab a soda and relax.. I have Gabe Saporta to thank for changing my entire way of thinking and choosing to live a better life. I am a 48 year old mom of 4 kids.. Three daughters 22,23,24 and a gorgeous son 17.. Also a grandmom to 3 little ones. A few years back I went through a horrendous divorce and then became critically ill. I had a virus that attacked my heart and lungs. I developed Congestive heart failure, Enlarged heart and Cardiomyopathy. I was told I wouldnt last the summer.. I became wheel chair bound on oxygen 24/7 and gained an enourmous amount of weight due to steroids being pumped into me. I couldnt take it any more and chose to have gastric bypass surgery. I was told I would most likely die during surgery. But I still felt it was my only option to improve my life and have more time with my kids. Soo I had the surgery and lost 200 pounds.. Soon I was off the oxygen, out of the wheelchair and able to do more things with my kids. They needed a driver to Cleveland to the House of blues for a show many years ago. I volunteered and prepared to sit in the balcony with the old geezers and pray the show would be over soon.. But.. This wonderful man, Gabe Saporta came on stage and encouraged the kids to not take life so seriously, dance and quit caring what other people think.. I was so impressed with him as a person, and even more as an artist. I fell instantly madly deeply in love with my Cobra's. After the show I had to meet this man and tell him what I thought of him. I met with Gabe and Alex and a bond was formed.. I am not the average Cobra fan.. I am ancient!! I think of them all as my kids.. I am so proud of their success but even more proud of who they are individually.. I have had the honor to meet them at many shows over the years and always feel special that they remember me ( The one and Only Cobra Cougar).. My kids and I traveled to 5 cities in 5 days to follow them on Warped Tour.. Got to spend time with them during the day and at the evening BBQ..

I guess I just want Gabe to know how much his bold, kiss my sass attitude has helped me through some very tough times in my life.. Even in the worst of times I can escape to the blog, the you tube videos, listen to music and somehow things dont seem so serious anymore. I really think you have a future as a comedy troupe ( AKA Lonely Island)..

I am more than proud to be an older Cobra Fan.. And feel so blessed that the love of Cobra Starship have brought a closeness between my girls and I that I have never known. After me being so ill a huge distance had developed between us.. But now.. We are planning our Warped Tour Vacation starting on July 7th.. Sure wish Cobra was on the tour, but I want Gabe to keep his voice!!!!!!

I may not be the typical Cobra fan, but I feel like I am an inspiration to other older fans to get down in the pit and party.. At the last show in Pittsburgh I chose to be right in front down at the stage. After the show I had so many parents who had been in the balcony come and shake my hand. Told me they wish they had the courage to do the same.. Asked me if I was afraid I would get hurt or crushed. And I said not one bit.. Gabe would stop the show and come and pick the Cougar up.. LOL

All my Love to Gabe for all the smiles and laughter he has given to me. All the joy of turning up the music in the car, windows down and singing at the top of my lungs.. If people dont like it, they can just kiss my Cougar Ass. LOL

Gabe, always be true to yourself and follow your dreams..

Just know you have changed my attitude and my life for the better.. I Love you like a son.. You and Alex are very very special to me.

At least it won't be as insane as the Brand New small club tour ticket sales went. Sat there refreshing the site ten minutes before the onsale time and as soon as it hit 1 PM, the site crashed. I called the ticketing line and they couldn't sell them through there either since they bought them through the site as well! Only through a very narrow stretch of luck did I get my ticket when the site finally reloaded.

But a small venue Cobra tour? So stoqued. I didn't get into you guys until AFTER RRRGLT so I thought that window of time had passed for me and other fans like that. Glad to see that it isn't the case!

Sweet memories of the little hole in the wall venue in Columbus Ohio The Basement. You all, We the Kings, Metro Station, The cab.. My kids talked me into going and I fell in love with Cobra that night.. You stood out in the cold signing and talking to fans for hours.. You and Alex had no gloves, so I went to the car and brought you and Alex handmade Purple Gloves.. You were so real and so sweet and I kind of adopted you and Alex that night. You made all those young girls feel so special and important, I will never forget it. You stood there in the cold for hours and never once looked up until the last person in line had their time with you.. I think the world of all of you Cobras and you give me so many reasons to smile and say Fuck it.. Life is far too serious and sometimes you just have to say fuck and dance your pants off.. I Love you for the amazing sweet person you are.. Love all the Cobras but you and Alex are my boys.

haha i love that the cobra cougar. i havent gotten to that yet. i'm neither TOO YOUNG or TOO OLD (u cant be too old anyway to be a cobra fan as you've demonstrated :D )anyone over 21 is part of the minority of cobra fans lol. when i see them i feel like i'm so much older cause i'm surrounded by 12 yr olds but glad i'm not the only one thats on the older side. :)

haha nooo all this talk of food and i'm hungry. i woke up at 9 yesterday morning, half 1 and a half slices of toast, then at 8 o'clock had a slice of pizza, a bit of garlis bread and not many chips.

haha i had to write a 120 pg full screenplay in jan and i'm in a tv production/directing class right now. i'm studying to be mostly a producer and editor and yea i never been a band manager but i've promoted bands lol. mmm taco bell. always time for taco bell. but their tacos are so tiny to me lol i found a random taco place with like these huge tacos lol and they serve veggie stuff too! and u need to find a place that makes taco pizza and get that lol.

lol a standard screenplay is 120 pgs ... lol i typed it out in about 2 weeks cause i was in an advanced 4 week winter intersession class. it was tiring as hell. now i'm working on a commercial as my final for tues . but i'm getting distracted cause i keep coming on here and when i think of concepts i keep writing it as if gabe was my actor lol.
