Where did ya'll buy your CD's? Cause I got mine at Best Buy too and it had it. Slip & Code. So, I'm confused cause its the same chain. And I didn't buy some deluxe version, it was the regular EP with the 11 tracks on it.

honestly, i still don't know what to make of this whole "fanclub" business as the ones that i have been a part of in the past were a major letdown, but i will give it a very fair shot and try it before i make any judgment about it. and i have major respect for you guys giving away free membership with the CD, i think that's awesome.

looking forward to it. was a bit worried how this will work out, but go for it.

i don't think i'll be willing to pay for it if it's something we'll have to eventually do. however, i feel like i would HAVE to at the same time because i wouldn't feel like a true fan otherwise.

and i hope that other countries will be able to benefit from it just as much as america shall. but i don't really know how fanclubs roll.

the fanclubs i've been a part of have been cool but at the same time they're super lame because a lof of the members think they're "superior" to the other fans, which is why i think that you guys giving out the free membership to anyone buying the album is a great idea. we're all able to join and if you don't like it, you can just not re-signup again and you haven't lost any money. it's a good system.

and i know you guys won't let us down anyway because out of all the bands i like, you guys are the only band that seem to care the most about what the fans think and feel, which is awesome. so thanks for always thinking of us first, gabe. that's why you're the best!

p.s. i got hot mess in the mail today and i want to wait for the 11th to listen because it's my birthday and it's like special to have that come out on that day, but i should just say fuck it and listen because it's awesome, right??? hope tour's going good for you all so far. see you soon!

free trial though... can't go wrong there. but what sorta benefits do people outside the US get? that's what tends to be shit about fanclubs. over here in the UK there aren't any meet and greets and only a few tours. which i had to travel six hours for in may!

i'm mostly curious about the 'you get to hang out with us' part. you mean official m&g's? because honestly those suck unless it's at a festival like bamboozle or something. saying hi, taking a pic with you, then saying bye isn't exactly hanging out :(

i just noticed in the scene is dead lyrics (my fave song btw) that the words 'no second dreams' are bolded. no other words from any other songs are bolded. is it a typo, or does it actually mean something?

Personally, I think it's ballin' of you to at least try and make an effort to circumvent the shitty fees that plague most fan club memberships. I think it sucks that kids who have an extra 30 or 40 bones every year get to get extra opportunities to meet the band, while some of us who are on a budget can't drop that and have to miss out. The idea of a free fanclub is fucking great, and it's a good way to connect to the real fans without leaving anyone out.

Not like it really matters in the end... being a member of the Church of Hot Addiction is a lot bigger than a club membership or CD ownership. Cobra Starship isn't a band, it's a way of life.

I personally am excited to see what you guys come up with for the Cobra Crew. I mean I don't really see anything wrong with it so why not give it a shot? And like if it doesn't work, like Jay Z said "Just brush that dirt off your shoulders". But I do have a few questions.

Regarding the fan club: How are you going to work this? Will there be a website or something that people who bought Hot Mess log into? And memberships do only come with Hot Mess correct?

Regarding future Cobra: I know you guys are getting bigger and it makes me really happy that people are finally starting to know the Cobra that I knew years ago. But as you guys progressively get bigger I'm worried that fan/artist interaction is going to diminish greatly.Are you still going to be doing small venue shows when you can and meet and greets and such?

I'm down with a fanclub. Fanclub or not, I'm in the Cobra Crew for life. Od as it may sound to some, your band as a whole, musically and you guys as individuals have done a lot for me, heart and soul, right down to my toes clad in custom Cobra converse. In a few shorts weeks I'm getting my right calf and side of my lower leg done in a sweet ass cobra inspired tattoo.

Anyway I think the perks sound awesome and it's epic you guys are giving them membership for free to those who purchase the CD. I listened to the leak and was blown away by the CD. I knew it was going to be epic, but it topped my expectations.

I think the worst experiance for me fan club wise is that no matter what theres limited meet and greets and for some reason the same people keep getting the invites over and over again. I guess as long as your fans still can have a chance at meeting you I am ok with this

Ever the dissenter, at the end of the day, I still think it is not the best of choices. I may be wrong, and really hope I am, but I think this will be a sinking ship. I guess it won't really matter because 8-19 will be my last Cobra show. I don't expect things to be the same forever, but I don't like the looks of the road up ahead. It was fun while it lasted, but nothing in life is eternal.

I'm not sure I'm expecting an answer but...... if you JUST decided to go with a fan club on the 7th of August (day of your post announcing the club) how did you get the inserts placed in CD's to be on sale Aug. 11th? you're saying you decided on a Friday "fuck yeah let's do this" and over the weekend you were able to insert the slips with codes AND get them shipped to distributors? seems you would have had to make a decision like that at least a few weeks ago minimum....

I wanna know about getting in on the Cobra Crew, too, since I bought mine on iTunes? I was all set to buy a real copy but the only place around here (Target) that has the unedited version was all sold out! And I couldn't wait another 3 days for them to get more in, so I got it on iTunes. I still spent my $13 and am a diehard fan... I think we should get something, too!!
